About This Print
In 1967, Andy Warhol designed the cover for The Velvet Underground & Nico — a plain yellow banana with a single instruction: peel slowly and see. It became one of the most recognisable album covers in history, and the banana became a symbol of the Factory era: provocative, deadpan, and quietly subversive.
This print is our take on that moment. Same fruit, different hands. A bold, slightly bruised illustration that nods to the original without pretending to be it — pop art as a living conversation rather than a museum piece.
